Add new sounds to your Axe-Fx II with UltraRes User Cabs.
With its original "User Cab" technology, Fractal Audio Systems pioneered the use of installable Impulse Responses (IRs) for speaker cabinet emulation in a hardware processor. UltraRes™ increases the accuracy of speaker cabinet emulation to new levels, achieving the resolution of long IRs (up to 170ms) without massive CPU requirements or intolerable latency. UltraRes requires an Axe-Fx II (original, Mark II, or XL) running firmware 13.0 or newer.
Cab Pack 4: Universal Noise Storage - UltraRes™ Collection contains over 150 user cab files produced by Fractal Audio Systems and Thomas Eaton of Universal Noise Storage studios. The collection includes IRs of multiple speakers, each with multiple different microphones placed individually. Many of the IRs are ideal for standalone use, and all of them are excellent for remixing in Cab-Lab.
User cab files may be easily uploaded to your Axe-Fx II using Fractal-Bot, Axe-Edit, or Cab-Lab. This pack was designed especially for Cab-Lab, and includes the .ir files required for you to create your own original multi-mic UltraRes mixes of any cab.
This set includes a special “Class-A 30W TB”, a "4x12 Cali" belonging to Fractal's founder Cliff Chase, plus other choice entries from the Fractal Audio Systems amp collection.
Here's what's included in Cab Pack 4:
SPEAKER CABINETS
1x8 Champlifier (based on a "Champ") [16 IRs]
1x12 AC-20 (based on Morgan™) [25 IRs]
1x12 Roamer (based on a Carr™ Rambler™) [26 IRs]
1x12 TweedVerb (based on a Victora™ Deluxe™) [4 IRs]
2x12 Class A (based on a Vox™ AC30™ with “Blues”) [32 IRs]
2x12 Double Verb (based on a Fender™ Twin™) [25 IRs]
4x12 Cali (aka "Cali Lead 80s", aka "Cliff's Boogie") [29 IRs]
MICROPHONES
Multiple individual microphones were used on each speaker cab. We positioned them in a variety of locations, listening in real time to find "sweet spots" -- typically near the edge of the dust cap and about 0" – 1.5" out from the grill cloth. IRs of Mics placed farther towards the edge of the speaker are labeled "CONE". Off-Axis captures, provided for the interesting color they bring to mixes, were made in a wide variety of speaker positions and distances, again all "by ear."
Shure SM57
Shure SM7
Beyerdynamic M160)
Sennheiser MD421)
Royer R121, both the front and the back of the mic ("Reversed" or “R”) were used.
CAD Audio Equitek E-350
Sennheiser e906
Audix i5
A few “Mix" captures are also included.
Hat jemand die schon gekauft und kann hier seine Erfahrungen posten?
Gruß Pedro
