Vielleicht gibt es ja inzwischen ein neues Netzteil. Meine Erfahrung war so wie oben beschrieben.
Ich habe auch eine E-Mail von Neural DSP, in der sie das Problem bestätigen. Hier mal ein paar Zitate daraus:
"The Quad Cortex used with headphones (without any other equipment connected) will result in perceived hum"
(von Gitarre steht hier aber auch nix
)
Zum Thema, dass das Problem mit einem Cioks DC-7 verschwindet:
"The use of grounded power supplies, although solving the headphone interference issue, makes ground loops when using external equipment far more likely"
(klingt nach "It's not a bug, it's a feature"
)
Zur Lösung (aus einer späteren E-Mail):
"Due to this, we decided it was best to partner up with a well-known boutique power supply manufacturer to work on a custom power supply that would perform exceptionally well in all scenarios."
Und ich wurde auf eine Warteliste gesetzt zum kostenlosen Umtausch des Netzteils, wenn es dann verfügbar ist. Wie schon geschrieben, das war von einem 3/4 Jahr. Gehört habe ich bis heute nichts.
